Plan a Seedance 2.5 shot

Turn a loose idea into a timed shot plan. This free worksheet prepares a prompt; video generation happens in the service you choose.

What is verified

ByteDance announced Seedance 2.5 on 31 July 2026. Its announcement describes up to 30-second generations, reference inputs and timestamp-based editing. Those are model capabilities described by the provider; the available controls, prices and limits depend on the service and your account. This page does not run Seedance or offer free generation.

Build one shot before a longer story

Choose one subject, one action and one camera move. Use the opening to establish the scene, the middle for the action and the final beat for a stable ending. The worksheet divides the duration into three beats. Those timings are an editable creative plan, not a promise that a model will obey them exactly.

Prepare references you can reuse

Use your own images or material you are allowed to edit. Keep reference names consistent in the service you use. Record which image defines appearance, which defines framing and which defines the setting. Avoid combining conflicting camera directions. Check the chosen provider’s accepted file formats and reference limits before uploading.

Review the clip before extending

Play the first and last seconds at normal speed. Check the subject’s appearance, object continuity, camera direction and audio cut. If a hand or face changes shape, regenerate that shot before adding duration. When the last frame is usable, open ExtenderVideo and follow its current input and duration controls. Recheck the join after extension.

A practical revision log

Save each prompt beside its output. Change one item at a time: action, camera movement or reference choice. Note what improved and what became worse. A 12-second draft can be easier to judge than a complex 30-second sequence; use the duration that suits your task.

Questions, answered

Does this page generate Seedance video?

No. It creates a plain-text shot plan. Your chosen generation service performs the actual video generation.

Is 30 seconds available everywhere?

The official announcement describes that model capability. A host can expose different controls or account limits; check the host before buying credits.

Can I extend the result here?

Use the ExtenderVideo tool linked below for the extension workflow. Availability and accepted files are shown in that tool.
